THE CONTRA COSTA DIABLOS MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the "DIABLOS" Senior Softball team is to inspire and provide community senior residents an opportunity to participate and flourish in a healthy and positive team environment.
This team looks to implement and cultivate a positive culture through our communication skills and an optimistic individual and team outlook.
The "DIABLOS" expect to be a consistently competitive softball team with strong basic
fundamentals that never loses sight that we are playing to have fun.
We expect to improve on a weekly basis by organizing challenging practices and demonstrating our skills in a weekly competition. Our understanding that the process is more important than the product will help keep us on track to overall team success.
We feel that this team will be a positive model that will make us all proud.
COACH WHITMAN
John Whitman was the baseball coach at Antioch High School for 16 years, from 1982-1998. It was a “dynasty.” His career speaks for itself; a 327-109 overall win-loss record that includes 20 post season wins, 14 North Coast Section appearances, eight league titles and three North Coast Section Championships; 1984, 1994 and 1995.
We are excited to have John as our coach!
SPONSORSHIP
The "DIABLOS" Senior Softball team seeks your generous sponsorship for our upcoming season. Sponsorships are needed to offset our operational costs for field rentals, team league registration, apparel and equipment.
The "DIABLOS" offer three sponsorship opportunities.
1) A three player sponsorship is $300.
2) A 6 player sponsorship is $500.
3) A 15 player sponsorship is $1400.
Your sponsorship runs for a total of 12 months and 3 concurrent League entries, resulting in maximum exposure.
Your business logo or name will be displayed on the player jerseys as well as on the dugout team banner displayed at each and every game. The "DIABLOS" will also patronize your establishment when possible to help offset your generous donation.
